A scarf can look very different laid flat and tied. Before choosing a 90 cm silk square, start with the clothes you already wear and the occasion you have in mind. The most useful print is one you enjoy both as a full design and as a small folded accent.
Start with one outfit you actually wear
For work, take a plain knit, shirt or jacket as your starting point. Find one colour in the scarf that works with that outfit. If your clothes already have a strong pattern, try a narrower fold so the scarf adds an accent rather than another large field of print.
For a weekend, consider the same scarf with denim, cotton or linen. A side knot brings the pattern near the face; a headband shows a smaller strip of colour. Choose the placement you feel comfortable adjusting during the day.
Choose the fold before judging the print
A 90 × 90 cm square is about 35.4 × 35.4 inches. Fold it corner to corner for a front triangle or a broad shoulder drape. Fold that triangle into a band for a loose neck knot, side knot or headband. The visible part of the print changes with the width of the band and where you place the knot.
Our six-way wearing guide shows these folds in different outfits, including commuting, office days, dinner, café visits and travel. The styling illustrations are AI-generated references; they are not photographs of finished scarves, and the fit and drape will vary by wearer.
Three ways to approach colour
- A graphic accent: coral, cobalt and mint in Afterglow Grid can be a starting point when your outfit is simple.
- A botanical detail: plum and blue outlines in Glass Garden can give a folded edge definition beside a plain knit or jacket.
- An occasion of your own: use the full design to explore a shoulder drape, then compare it with a narrow fold before deciding which feels like you.

Check the material, print and edge construction
Our 90 cm scarves use 100% silk in 16 momme twill, with machine-rolled hems. The design is applied by single-sided direct digital printing; the reverse is not separately printed. These are different features, so look for all of them when comparing scarves. Read our material and construction details for the confirmed specifications.
Before wearing, check your jewellery and clothing for rough edges. Tie gently and adjust until the scarf feels comfortable. See our silk-care guide for washing and drying instructions.
Allow time when choosing a gift
Think about the recipient's everyday clothes and the way they are likely to wear a scarf. One well-chosen colour connection can be more helpful than trying to match an entire wardrobe.
Made to order. During our initial small-batch launch, scarf production and gift-box preparation run in parallel. Each order is inspected and packed before dispatch. Preparation and carrier-transit estimates will be confirmed before ordering opens and shown before payment. Transit begins when the carrier receives your parcel. We cannot promise arrival for a particular occasion until the relevant delivery service and timing are confirmed.
